A premium minivan built on BYD technology
Founded in 2010 · Headquarters: Shenzhen
Denza began in 2010 as a BYD–Daimler joint venture; since 2022 it has been wholly owned by BYD as its premium brand.
The D9 is China’s best-selling large MPV: seven seats, captain’s chairs in the second row and a DM-i hybrid that covers about 190 km on electricity.
The electric motor does most of the driving; the petrol engine mostly charges the battery.
BYD’s LFP blade cells: resistant to overheating and long-lived.
Second-row seats with heating, ventilation and massage, and separate climate for every row.
